SARASOTA, FL, March 29, 2012 (Press-News.org) In collaboration with the Dali Museum and Blue Scarf Collective, Home Resource of Sarasota presents "My Unspeakable Confessions: Gala Dali Declines to Explain Herself," on Thursday, March 29, at 7 p.m. The five previous performances were sold out.
This one-act play touches on the secrets, fears, promises and lies of Salvador Dali's wife and most revered subject, Gala Dali, as told through her fascinating relationship with the Tarot. With genius and madness, writer Heather L. Jones brings our senses and sensibilities to a boiling point, allowing Gala to speak without apology. The play is performed by Roxanne Fay, who has been nominated as Florida's Best Actress in a Play for 2011 for her performance in "A Midsummer Night's Dream." Jones and Fay (with Aleshea Harris) are the founders of Blue Scarf Collective, a writers' and artists' collaborative in the Tampa Bay area.
A representative of the Dali Museum will participate in the "Talk Back" discussion session at the end of the play.
The Home Resource showroom is located at 741 Central Avenue, Sarasota, FL 34236. The cost is $10, payable at the door. Seating is limited and reservations must be made in advance at mbush@homeresource.com. Telephone: (941) 366-6690. Proceeds from the show will go to the playwright and actor.
