Marketing Aces Reveal Secret to Generating Additional Thousands in Used Part Sales

Co Authors of Forthcoming Event Marketing Book Ron Sturgeon and Linda Allen to Present at Automotive Conference on April 13

2012-04-02
FORT WORTH, TX, April 02, 2012 (Press-News.org) Ron Sturgeon and co-author Linda Allen will speak at the United Recyclers' Group (URG) Denver Pinnacle Training Conference on April 13, 2012. Sturgeon and Allen will be speaking on event marketing, the subject of their new book, 409 Low-Cost Events That Will Produce New Clients for Your Small Business in Any Economy.

Sturgeon, who helped found URG in 1995, is well known in the recycling industry where he built a single-employee Fort Worth salvage yard into one of the largest salvage operations in the United States before selling to Ford in the 1990s. He is a successful small business consultant and author of several books focused on the needs of small business operators.

Allen founded and runs a successful nsurance agency in Fort Worth where she has used event marketing to expand and grow her business and bottom line.

Sturgeon says finding the right marketing mix can be "daunting (for the small business owner) when the stakes are high and the outcome is riding solely on your shoulders." He and Allen wrote the book for small businesses who are struggling with their marketing, especially in segments with shrinking margins.

The book shows how a small business can use relatively low cost marketing events to attract profitable customers, generate effective contact lists and leverage local news coverage into free advertising.

Sturgeon used a series of all you can carry parts events to generate tens of thousands of dollars of extra parts sales from cars about to be crushed. He shares methods he and Linda have used successful to prioritize and execute successful event marketing programs that produce sales and help build powerful lists of qualified prospects.

In addition to showing how event marketing favorably compares to more traditional methods, the book also provides 409 concrete examples of successful marketing events run by small businesses for little or no money, an invaluable asset in today's tight-money economy.

Sturgeon notes that marketing has become "even more important for small businesses" as the current economy has made many traditional approaches more expensive. He points to event marketing as a low-cost way to grow.

The book that includes the list of 409 event ideas ($19.95) or just the event list ($8.95) can be purchased at. 409SmallBusinessEvents.com.
