Soap Opera actress and Celebrity Animal Trainer Gives Media-Weary Horses a Forever Home

Sandra Dee Robinson and Jessie Danielson answered a desperate call from an animal activist with a request to deliver her horses to a safe home.

2012-03-29
MARIETTA, GA, March 29, 2012 (Press-News.org) Sandra Dee Robinson, daytime actress and owner of Charisma on Camera Media Training Studio and Jessie Danielson, celebrity animal trainer and owner of Jessie's Party Animals answered a desperate call from animal activist, Karin Hauenstein last week with a request to deliver her horses to a safe home.

Survivalist Hauenstein and her three pack horses have been in the media quite a bit in the last few months as they walked highways and main streets, including the Pacific Coast Highway and Sunset Blvd in a campaign to raise awareness of the dangers of legalizing horse slaughter in the United States. From the origination point in Paso Robles area to Hollywood, activist and horses walked miles of cement by day, and fed off of available grasses and donated hay, passing out bits of information on the controversial topic of equine slaughter.

Well intentioned but perhaps not well planned, the campaign came to an end last week when Hauenstein decided the strain on her and the animals was too much to continue. Hauenstein has sought refuge and rehabilitation for her life in a facility in Los Angeles.

The first of her horses to be given to a new home was a thoroughbred, given to a local stuntwoman. The two remaining horses, one Mustang named Smoke and a Quarterhorse named Coley were picked up from a front yard in a residential area of Los Angeles by Robinson and Danielson last week.

The horses were in good condition, but a bit weary. Both Smoke and Coley have previously been part of survivalist excursions throughout the Sierras and Northern California, much of it documented in video by Hauenstein and a partner. Their days of such hard work are over, and local trail riding for pleasure will be their toughest days from here on out.

"I can just see in their eyes that they know we are there to help them. They are happy to have a home" Says Jessie Danielson.

"(Hauenstein) did quite a good job of getting press; for instance, the LA Times recently covered her excursion with Smoke and Coley. But this is proof that media coverage must be part of a bigger plan. Perhaps at least, people will be aware of the controversy over horse slaughter, speak out for what they believe and the best outcome will ensue.'

Sandra's background includes daytime soap opera roles on Another World, Bold and the Beautiful, Days of Our Lives and others. She founded Charisma on Camera three years ago and trains experts to feel and look fantastic when they seek video or TV exposure.

Jessie Danielson's animals are celebrities in their own right... often seen on the covers of magazines, in videos, commercials and film as well as TMZ. Jessie Party Animals provides clean, calm animals for special occasions throughout Los Angeles.

Additional support for the horses' rescue and continued care was donated by Ady Gil, founder of Ady Gil World Conservation (AGWC). To donate to help other animals in need visit http://www.agwc501.org.

Sandra Dee Robinson is an actor (including major roles on Another World, Sunset Beach, Bold and the Beautiful, General Hospital, Days of Our Lives, guest star on Two and a Half Men, Criminal Minds, Secret Life of an American Teenager and TV movies), TV host and product spokesperson. She founded Charisma on Camera media training studio and currently assists authors, life coaches, politicians, actors, and business professionals who want to build their star qualities and confidence in the telling of their message or they are preparing to establish themselves as an expert guest, or even host their own show.
