Video Game Characters Come Alive In Downtown Fuquay-Varina- Strafe Gaming Lounge is to Blame

Several iconic video game characters have been seen walking the streets of Fuquay-Varina, NC including Mario, Link from Zelda, Lara Croft, Cloud Strife, Master Chief and many others help promote a new business called Strafe Gaming Lounge.

FUQUAY VARINA, NC, September 27, 2010 (Press-News.org) You may be wondering what's happening in downtown Fuquay-Varina toward the end of September. Several iconic video game characters have been seen walking the streets including Mario, Link from Zelda, Lara Croft from Tomb Raider, Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy and many others. Recently the character crew was spotted at the "Taste of Fuquay-Varina" festival on Saturday the 25th as well as Fuquay's GameStop, Fuquay Gun & Gold and many other locations. The characters are in town to help promote a new business opening its door on October 16th, 2010 called Strafe Gaming Lounge. As part of Strafe's grand opening the video game characters will be available for a free photo opportunity on October 16th, 2010. Strafe will also be offering half priced gaming all weekend and free general admission.

Strafe Gaming Lounge offers a safe and fun environment for customers to play the latest games and technology on the newest gaming consoles including the Wii, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. The roughly 2000 square feet of 101 South Main St. Suite 220 in Fuquay-Varina will be filled with over a dozen gaming systems, a 100 inch projector, lounge furniture, Wi-Fi, movies, board games, refreshments and hundreds of video games. The Strafe experience offers hourly walk-in game play, group discounts, tournaments, private parties, lock-ins and contests. After the grand opening weekend all 7 of the video game characters will shed their costumes and equipment as it will become part of the lounge's decor and available for party rentals.

Owners Paxton Galvanek, Jessica Galvanek & Mitch DeBardelaben are local residents and pride themselves on being part of the community. In addition to Strafe, Paxton & Jessica own 2 other businesses, Galvanek & Wahl Advertising Agency and Jump and Laugh Inflatable Rentals here in Fuquay-Varina. Mitch boasts an extensive gaming background and is excited to bring his knowledge and experience to Strafe Gaming Lounge. Paxton Galvanek's video game experience landed him in the national news when he was able to administer life saving medical aid he learned from the video game America's Army.
