LA QUINTA, CA, April 13, 2012 (Press-News.org) La Quinta Resort & Club is pleased to present musician extraordinaire Greg Lake and his spectacular "Songs of a Lifetime" - an intimate performance from one of the greatest voices and musical minds of a generation - on Saturday, May 26 at 8 p.m. In addition, a special breakfast buffet and meet and greet with Greg Lake will be held on Sunday, May 27. Concert goers can also take advantage of a special resort package for a truly memorable Memorial Day weekend launching into the summer of 2012.
WHAT: On Saturday, May 26, Greg Lake's "Songs of a Lifetime" world tour performance takes the audience on an intimate autobiographical musical journey in song and story. Included are many of the best songs from Emerson, Lake & Palmer and also King Crimson, along with storyteller-style commentary by Greg about his entire life and career. Unique recollections of such greats as Ringo Starr, Jimi Hendrix and Elvis are skillfully woven throughout the performance with accompanying musical numbers that reflect these connections. Greg's dialogue with the audience throughout the show creates moments of high impact and unique personal interaction - a preview of what is included in his just finished autobiography.
It's all there - great musical entertainment, humor, drama and the experience of getting to know all about Greg Lake and his personal musical history. Lake himself says, "The concept of performing an intimate and autobiographical show presents a huge challenge. My personal experience of this format is so invigorating that it gives me a thrill every time I meet a new audience."
On Sunday, May 27, a buffet breakfast with Greg Lake will be held in La Quinta Resort's Studio with the delicious buffet starting at 9:00 a.m. followed by a 30-minute Storytelling and Question & Answer Session with the performer. Seating is limited to 100 attendees.
