Rakeback.com Poker News Announces Full Tilt Deal Progress; Promotions Department to hold $12,000+ in New Player Freerolls Across Three Rooms

Rakeback.com, an online poker affiliate and news website operating out of Hong Kong, has released details for several site-exclusive promotions taking place in April of 2012.

HONG KONG, April 13, 2012

A reasonably new independent poker room, High Pulse Poker, is exclusively offering Rakeback.com site users with an opportunity to receive an instant bonus of EUR25 upon a user's first deposit of EUR25. High Pulse Poker is trying to make its mark on the online poker market through offers such as this one as well as its innovative software.

Two other sites with exclusive offerings at Rakeback.com this month are anything but new - PokerStars and Party Poker. Both were formed in 2001 and are running freerolls in April. PokerStars is offering a $1,000 freeroll exclusively for Rakeback.com tracked players, and Party Poker is offering 2 $2,012 freerolls exclusively for Rakeback.com players who earn enough Party Points to qualify. Additionally, new players at Party Poker can participate in an exclusive $1,000 new player freeroll.

American players aren't left out from Rakeback.com's offers, as US-facing Carbon Poker is running 2 exclusive and lucrative freerolls as well. First, there is a $1,000 freeroll available to all players who signed up for Carbon poker through Rakeback.com. Second, Rakeback.com users can qualify during April for an exclusive $5,000 freeroll to be held on May 13th.

Full Tilt Deal Progress
Although poker players are always interested in deals, over the past month a great deal of the poker world's attention turned towards Groupe Bernard Tapie's potential takeover of Full Tilt Poker.

Full Tilt is one of the poker rooms which was federally indicted by the United States on April 15th, 2011, or "Black Friday" as it is known within the industry. In the months following Black Friday, it was discovered that the company was insolvent and unable to repay customers their account balances without finding an outside investor.

After months of searching and countless rumors of failed deals, eventually Groupe Bernard Tapie (GBT) reached a tentative deal with Full Tilt and the United States to purchase the company's assets for a sum of $80 million pending certain conditions were met. GBT's namesake, Bernard Tapie, is known for specializing in the recovery of bankrupted companies. His most famous success was Adidas' turnaround in the early 1990s.

March of 2012 was full of speculation about when this deal might finally reach its completion. The month came and went, but now some significant positive signs have emerged in April. Full Tilt has listed several available positions for new employees online, and the company has applied for a new gaming license.

Perhaps it won't be long before players will be able to access their funds and get back to playing at Full Tilt - formerly one of the world's largest and most respected online poker rooms.
