Family Sports Pub Franchise Hits Q1 Home Run

Beef 'O' Brady's Comp Sales Soar Following Launch of STEAK Initiatives

2012-04-21
TAMPA, FL, April 21, 2012 (Press-News.org) First quarter sales are on the rise at Beef 'O' Brady's, and Beef's famous Buffalo-style chicken wings don't get all the credit this time. Following a turnaround year in which comp sales improved 2.95 percent system-wide, the 213-unit family sports pub franchise is reporting an 8.3 percent increase in same-store sales over Q1 2011. First quarter performance was anchored by the best sales performance in March since 2005 - a 9.3 percent comp sales increase.

Despite the challenging economic climate, Beef 'O' Brady's is growing again. When asked why, CEO Chris Elliott gives credit to a renewed commitment to excellence by the franchise partners as well as menu innovation and improved marketing tactics. In Q1, the Tampa-based restaurant chain unveiled a new line of premium Angus Skirt steak menu options that combine an attractive price point with high quality ingredients. The 27-year-old company also set its sights towards international growth following the signing of franchise agreements to open restaurants in Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.

"We're growing as a brand because we're reluctant to settle when something of ours is simply 'good enough,'" said Chris Elliott, CEO of Beef 'O' Brady's. "Constant improvement and a willingness to listen to our loyal consumers is an essential step to standing out in the hyper-competitive restaurant industry, and while our family focus will never change, we're enthusiastic when it comes to tinkering and/or testing new initiatives that could help us bring the brand to the next level."

'Innovation' will continue to be the brand's overarching theme in Q2. On April 30, 2012, Beef 'O' Brady's will expand its menu offerings with the launch of chicken, steak and combo fajitas. The franchise has been testing fajitas in select trial markets throughout Q1, and the attained feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.

Since 1985, Beef 'O' Brady's has grown to more than 210 locations in 22 states. The brand expects to open between 15 and 20 new locations by 2013.

If you are facing a separation or divorce from your spouse or domestic partner, the two of you have the power ...
