CLEARWATER, FL, April 21, 2012 (Press-News.org) Miles For Hope is hosting its first brain tumor awareness event in Missouri, Chloe's Miles For Hope 5K Walk, this Sunday April 22nd, 2012 at 9 am at Butler Municipal Park in Butler, MO. This event is being held in memory of Butler area toddler Chloe Wadel, who lost her battle with brain tumors in December 2010. The proceeds from this event are used to raise awareness and funding for brain tumor research and clinical trials, and to offer medically needy flight assistance for qualified brain tumor patients.
Young Chloe was diagnosed with a brain tumor at the age of 15 months. After spending months in the hospital, her family was told that there was nothing further that could be done for Chloe, so they took her home and she passed away two weeks later on December 12, 2010. Chloe was a loveable, happy, fun and outgoing little girl with bleach blonde hair and big brown eyes. She loved everyone and was spoiled by all who knew her. Her favorite things were going to visit her grandparents and feeding the chicks. Chloe had a smile that would light up any room and this event is being held in her honor and memory.
Chloe's mother Mom, Tiffany O'Banion, found out about Miles For Hope's brain tumor awareness events and wanted to get involved. She worked with the nonprofit organization to set up this first annual Chloe's Miles For Hope 5K Walk to honor her daughter and to raise awareness and funding for brain tumor research, to help those who are still battling this devastating disease.
Because of Chloe and the countless others whose lives have been lost to this disease, there is a critical need for brain tumor research. Brain tumors affect over 200,000 people each year; one person every three minutes in the United States. They are also the leading cause of solid tumor cancer deaths in children and young adults under the age of 20.
After the recent passing of co-Founder Robert Gibbs, who fought a seven-year battle with brain cancer, Miles For Hope Vice-President Debbie Turner stated: "Countless people in the U.S. have lost their battle against this disease, and hundreds of thousands more are still fighting. Now more than ever, we are dedicated to raising awareness and funding through our brain tumor awareness events, for desperately needed brain tumor research so that other people and their families do not have to continue to suffer from this devastating disease."
The event will be held this Sunday, April 22nd, 2012 at 9 am at Butler Municipal Park, located on Parkview Street in Butler, MO 64730. Parking is available on site for all registered participants and volunteers. Same-day registration opens at 8 am, event begins at 9 am. Registration fee is $20; children under 6 years are free. Online registration is encouraged at http://www.braintumorevents.org/Chloesmilesforhope.
The 5K event is open to all ages. Participants can walk/run individually or form a team. Volunteers are welcome. For more information, please visit http://www.braintumorevents.org/Chloesmilesforhope, http://www.MilesForHope.org or call 727-781-HOPE (4673).

Parents Should Be on Their Best Behavior During a Divorce or Separation
A recent study confirms what many have suspected: Poor behavior by divorcing parents causes more problems for their children than the divorce itself. Research shows that all children experience some negative effects as their parents separate or divorce but, if a split is particularly traumatic or vicious, the children may suffer the ill effects into adulthood and some never quite recover.
If you are facing a separation or divorce from your spouse or domestic partner, the two of you have the power ...
