Rembrandt supports UNICEF's Youth Career Development Program

Rembrandt Hotel is proud to support the Youth Career Development Program, a five-month life changing opportunity program managed by UNICEF, for the third consecutive year.

BANGKOK, THAILAND, April 30, 2012 (Press-News.org) Rembrandt Hotel is proud to support the Youth Career Development Program, a five-month life changing opportunity program managed by UNICEF, for the third consecutive year. Fifteen young women and four young men were selected to participate in the 2012 Youth Career Development Program (YCDP), which will assist in providing long-term social and economic security, innovative life skills and occupational development in the hotel hospitality industry.

This year Rembrandt is proud to accept Khun Wanida Khomkam, a high school graduate from Khonkean, Thailand, to undergo the practical training for 20 weeks from April 23rd to September 7th 2012. Khun Wanida will be undergoing training in the Housekeeping department for 8 weeks, Kitchen for 8 weeks and F&B services for 4 weeks.

According to UNICEF, the program has successfully facilitated skills training and employment opportunities for nearly 1,000 disadvantaged youth from poor families, particularly in the North and Northeast of Thailand.

Besides the practical training, Rembrandt Hotel also collaborates with the Department of Skill Development to support her accommodation expenses and wages during her stay in Bangkok. Khun Parika Maneeprem, Rembrandt's training manager, kindly assists in training her English as well.

After complete the YCDP training, the trainees will also be eligible for full time employment at the Rembrandt Hotel.

Rembrandt Hotel is honored to support the Youth Career Development Program as a part of its social responsibility efforts to provide future generations with the long term educational and occupational opportunity for them to grow.
