LOS ANGELES, CA, April 30, 2012 (Press-News.org) Barnes & Noble Manhattan Beach, California will host a public book signing on May 20th, 2012 from 12:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m. to feature Los Angeles Artist Brian Boylan, as he signs a new book titled "Contemporary Painters". Mr. Boylan was selected among 100 artists worldwide to be featured in this new hard bound coffee table book published by Schiffer Publishing, and written by Charles McFadden and Danijela Kracun. "This book really encompasses the best of the best in the art world and I am honored to be featured inside and on the front cover" stated Boylan.
Brian Boylan was born in Dublin, Ireland and began his artistic career in animation at Sullivan Bluth Studios in Dublin. He soon left Ireland and worked in England, Australia and the U.S. where he worked at some of the most esteemed major motion picture animation studios in the world including Disney, Warner Brothers and DreamWorks.
Brian's passion and admiration for his birthplace is the centerpiece of his art as he uses chalk and acrylic to encapsulate Celtic design, Irish myths, and famous Irish legends such as "An Bradan Feasa" and "Tir Na nOg".
Not only has Mr. Boylan's artwork been published recently on the prestigious front cover of the Spanish translation "An Tain Bo Culninge", but he has also exhibited at the Celtic Art Center, LA Irish Film Festival, Newport Beach Film Festival and has been featured in the Irish Times and a variety of Irish American papers. He has also had one man shows in Hollywood, Hermosa Beach and Venice Beach, California.
"Mr. Boylan has quite the resume, and we are excited to host his book signing here at Barnes & Noble Manhattan Beach on May 20th. The book looks incredible, and is the quintessential coffee table art book" touted Community Relations Manager Penny Armstrong.
Brian currently resides in Manhattan Beach and has two beautiful daughters Sophi and Erica De.
