LONDON, ENGLAND, September 29, 2010 (Press-News.org) Dance Umbrella will see a variety of established performers and emerging talent show off their skills in London this autumn.
No doubt plenty of people have already made bookings at some of the cheap hotels London has to offer in order to attend one of the shows that form part of this long-running festival.
But the occasion does not simply encompass a series of top-drawer dance performances, it also offers the opportunity to take part in workshops and meet some of the celebrated artists involved.
It all kicks off on October 5th and runs until October 30th, with some of the highlights set to be a production by the Trisha Brown Dance Company - taking place from October 15th to 17th at the Southbank Centre's Queen Elizabeth Hall.
The venue explained: "Dance Umbrella celebrates this iconic artist in an enticing evening of work spanning four decades.
"With her loose-limbed, swinging style of movement, Trisha Brown creates fluid, silken works which both delight and challenge audiences."
This is just one of many performances due to take place as part of the event, with the productions being staged at various venues across the city.
Prices vary for each show depending on who is dancing, with the Trisha Brown Dance Company concert costing between GBP12 and GBP25.
For more information on this event visit the Dance Umbrella website.
