Testing on iPad-Driven Advertising System to Begin in Charlotte Area

Innovative marketing venue turns waiting time in local businesses into marketing time using Apple's popular device

2010-09-29
CHARLOTTE, NC, September 29, 2010 (Press-News.org) Touchvertise.com harnesses the popularity of Applie's iPad devices to turn wait times at Charlotte-area businesses into an ingenious marketing venue. The innovative advertising venue will begin its Beta testing program in Charlotte, North Carolina, offering Charlotte-area businesses the opportunity to get in on the ground floor of the program.

Through the Touchvertise program, upscale businesses, like luxury car dealerships or doctor's offices, receive iPads for customers to use while they wait for service. Area businesses target their intended local market by buying advertising through the Touchvertise service.

The new service helps both advertisers and host businesses. Host businesses receive something they can deliver to customers that will entertain and inform during waits, which can improve customer satisfaction. Other local businesses may advertise on the iPad's interactive applications, providing them direct access to their local market.

The challenge for local businesses in today's Internet-driven marketplace is finding an effective, yet affordable way to reach the local market. When asked about the appeal of Touchvertise, a company representative said, "Not only does Touchvertise offer businesses a chance to target their local market directly, but it also does so at a rate that is far more affordable than other traditional marketing options. Because the iPad is user-driven, potential customers are directly interacting with marketing messages, which improves their effectiveness."

The new advertising system accepts a variety of advertising forms, including movies, lead generating forms, as well as custom interactive advertising applications. The novelty of the iPad makes it appealing to customers, which improves return on investment for advertisers.

Several Charlotte-area companies have already signed up to be host businesses for the Touchvertise program during the Beta testing period. Those interested in also offering Touchvertise to their customers or advertising using the iPad applications should sign up quickly for the Beta program to ensure they can get in on the testing period.
