Miami Author Seeks To Bring His Characters Off The Page And Onto The Small Screen With The Help Of KickStarter.com

Earlier this year, Miami author Chris Ossman released his young reader's novel, Far Beyond. Now, he seeks draw his characters off the pages and onto computer screens around the world

2012-05-11
MIAMI, FL, May 11, 2012 (Press-News.org) Local author and Miami resident Chris Ossman has released a fascinating tale of friendship, magic, and an amazing adventure. And now, Chris hopes to bring this story to life through 2D and 3D animation, while providing work for freelance graphic artists and other individuals who will help get this epic tale out to as wide an audience as possible.

"I've created some small rough animated clips about Far Beyond, but I know my limitations. And for this reason, I know that I'll need help with the "heavy lifting", the animation. To this end, I've sought out the help of the Kick Starter community to raise the funds necessary to make my project a success."

Kick Starter is a website, where artists can post their latest projects and try to raise funds for those projects. Turning to Kick Starter, Chris has not only reached out to family and friends, but he has also reached out to those who believe in the spirit that independent artists represent.

"Kick Starter provides an amazing opportunity for unknown or under-represented artists to make a name for themselves. In a time when the art world has found itself severely under funded, this website has proven to be a true source of inspiration for so many artists who are passionate about their work."

Chris hopes to not only bring his characters to a broader audience; he also wishes to build an alliance of artists who share his love for good story telling and animation. While awaiting to be funded, Chris will be story boarding his script and interviewing in an effort to find artists who have the ability to make his characters connect with that audience on more than a visual level.
