2012-05-18
BARRIE, ON, May 18, 2012 (Press-News.org) Shred North, a local paper shredding company, is the first company in Barrie to ever be granted membership in the National Association for Information Destruction (NAID).
NAID is a national association representing companies that specialize in secure information and document destruction. As such, NAID plays an active role in the development and implementation of industry standards and certification and also provides a range of member services which include advocacy, communication, education and professional development.

According to NAID CEO Bob Johnson, "As a member of NAID, service providers are bound to follow the association's high ethical standards and enforcement, and show their commitment to staying abreast of the latest industry trends and regulations." As the first company in Barrie to be granted membership in NAID, Shred North will bring this high standard to the document destruction service it provides to Central Ontario.

"We felt it was important to provide local businesses with a local solution to their paper shredding requirements", states Shred North General Manager, Daryl Woytowicz. "Equally important was to provide local businesses with a company that is a member of a respected organization such as NAID. Document destruction is all about security and we want our customers to know how seriously we take that responsibility."

An increasing number of local businesses are turning to outsourcing their document destruction as a means of compliance as well as maintaining their employees' productivity.

Since Shred North is local, fuel consumption and an excessive carbon footprint are minimized by reducing the need to travel from distant urban centers. A local service provider which is also a NAID member company delivers both service and reliability.
