WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA, May 21, 2012 (Press-News.org) Millie Brown is infamously known for her Nexus Vomitus performance art. Millie will be debuting her most recent performance Collection "Celestial Bodies" at Illoulian Contemporary, located in West Hollywood. The VIP opening cocktail reception will be held on June 7th 7-10pm,on June 8th-July8th Illoulian Contemporary will open the exhibition to the general public.
The Art Exhibit
The exhibition will consist of two films and photographic prints by the artist. The VIP opening preview will be a cocktail reception for our special guest along with press and media. Press and media will be open from 6-7pm with the artist Millie Brown one on one.Through this collection Millie branches out into a new wave of artistic creation from her norm. Celestial Bodies is an mature interaction focusing on the forces of attraction, our connection with gravity and lunar lunacy effects. Millie references ancient ritualistic behavior and expression through early modern dance in this work.
The Artist
Millie is a UK native born into a life of versatility from living across the globe in such exotic locations as Spain and South of France. Through a variety of advant- garde art projects Millie created a foundation for her unique artistic style. Her artwork is very daring and challenges one to think out side the box, the approach is bold, Millie breaks through the boundaries of our truth and standard, this is what makes her artwork an authentic collaboration.
The event will be hosted by Candice Illoulian Art Director of Illoulian Contemporary. Illoulian Contemporary is an new eccentric boutique art gallery nestled in the artistic cravats of West Hollywood, the location is perfect for Millie's US exhibition debut.
