Incredible Paper Flowers From The Crimson Poppy At The 2012 MTV Movie Awards

Flower arrangement, celebrity gifts to be featured at the Gift Lounge, June 1-2

2012-05-21
STILLWATER, OK, May 21, 2012 (Press-News.org) Sure, the Golden Popcorn is great, but the real question is....Who will take home the Incredible Paper Flowers from the crimson poppy?!

Beautiful lifelike flowers from the crimson poppy are trimmed, primped, and ready to share the spotlight at the year's biggest event for Hollywood's young crowd - the 2012 MTV Movie Awards.

A crimson poppy arrangement will be displayed in the MTV Movie Award Gift Lounge hosted by GBK Productions, on June 1-2, at the W Hollywood Hotel. And in their exclusive "swag bag" sponsored by The Artisan Group, nominees, presenters, and other celebrities at the lounge will receive a gift card for a unique, handcrafted crimson poppy single stem flower.

"The MTV Movie Awards are a fun way to share my work with some of the most talented young artists in the world," said Jenny Jafek-Jones, gardener at the crimson poppy. "I'm thrilled to have my flowers on display and my gift included in the swag bag."

Jenny hand-crafts more than 100 flower varieties at her "greenhouse" in Stillwater, Oklahoma - roses, daffodils, tiger lilies, peonies, and poppies of course - as well as beautiful custom arrangements. She also makes unique gift roses from favorite photos and from vintage sheet music, as well as pins, hair pieces, and other adornments. For those who want to grow their own paper flower gardens, the crimson poppy offers DIY flower and greenery kits.

Naturally, paper flowers are human- and eco-friendly. They are allergen free, ship anywhere, never wilt, and bloom in every climate and season.

New key mechanism in cell division discovered

2012-05-21

The result has been achieved in the online edition of the Journal of Cell Science and opens the door to developing targeted and direct therapies against cancer. In every organism, cells grow and divide into two daughter cells through an orderly succession of events called "cell cycle". Cells have to complete four main processes during the cell cycle: growth ...

Performance boost for microchips

Performance boost for microchips
2012-05-21
Flat computers, powerful cell phones and tablets – the integrated circuits, our computers' power centers, are becoming increasingly smaller and more complex. The microchips in today's computers already contain some two billion transistors. To get the chip density right, the structures are exposed onto the chips by means of lithography. To be able to meet future requirements, the semi-conductor industry is planning to convert the exposure using a wavelength of 193 nm to a wavelength of just 13.5 nm. This can be achieved only with completely new radiation sources. The favorite ...

2012-05-21
Laser technology uses light. Light can be rapidly and precisely deflected, shaped and focused. If we pulse laser light and reduce pulse duration more and more, the laser tool works even more precisely. A benefit: The material being processed heats up less and less. High-power, ultra-short pulses, then, are the ideal solution for medical applications, in brain surgery for instance, as the cerebral membrane is not damaged. Or for removing tumor tissue thereby conserving the surrounding tissue and blood vessels. This precision technology is also valued in the processing of ...
