Clement Binnings Jr., Award Winning Virginia Author Of 'Angel Through The Storms', Now Appearing On The Authors Show

Binnings appears on The Authors Show through February 3, 2013. He discusses his latest novel, 'Angel Through The Storms: A Love Story'. 'Angel Through The Storms' was one of two finalists in the 2012 Indie Excellence Book Awards for Visionary Fiction

2012-06-08
SHALLOTTE, NC, June 08, 2012 (Press-News.org) Don McCauley interviewed award-winning author Clement Binnings Jr. recently for a segment of The Authors Show. Binnings is the author of 'Angel Through The Storms: A Love Story'. Angel Through The Storms was one of two finalists in the 2012 Indie Excellence Book Awards for Visionary Fiction.

Clement Binnings is a family physician practicing in Salem, Virginia and serves Primary Care Associates as its Vice President. As a writer, Binnings attempts to reveal the light of Spirit, acting in the darkness of the world.

"As a novelist," Binnings stated, "I've chosen to depict sanity, in all its glory, entwined in the dark drama that our insanity perpetuates in the world."

'Angel Through The Storms' brings a healing angel to the loveless realities of child abuse and molestation, to the psychological pathologies these atrocities create, and to the abandoned refugees suffering on the sweltering streets of New Orleans during the wake of Hurricane Katrina. The novel generates great suspense and insight through the actions and interactions of compelling characters moving through their environmental, physical, psychological and spiritual storms. It sends a powerful message - that storms contain the power to catalyze spiritual transformation; the worse the storm, the greater its potential to invoke change.

'Angel Through The Storms' took a Reader's Favorite Bronze Award in Southern Fiction and was a finalist in USA Best Book Awards in both New Age Fiction and Visionary Fiction. The book was one of two finalists in the Indie Excellence Books Awards for Visionary Fiction.

"Readers," Binnings continued, "will enjoy this book because they will experience the storms of its characters, characters they will love or hate, and will grow with them. They will be introduced to an untainted soul in the form of a child and see his vision contrasted with the limits of human vision. They will see the effects of child and spousal abuse inflicted by family and clergy upon the innocent and will come to understand PTSD as an instigator of panic disorder and dissociation. They will entertain questions about reincarnation, divine potential, guilt, redemption and forgiveness. They may even contemplate what is real - the inner or outer realms of life experience? This novel truly is 'A Love Story,' in that it emphasizes the ultimate power of Love to heal."

Binnings will appear for a book signing at Barnes and Noble in Roanoke, VA at Valley View Mall from 1 to 4pm on Saturday, June 16th, 2012. His interview with The Authors Show will run at the show site through February 3, 2013.

Clement Binnings Jr. is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at cbinnings@cox.net. More information is available at his website. 'Angel Through The Storms' is available at Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble and at his website.

Clement Binnings Jr. is a family physician practicing in Salem, Virginia and serves Primary Care Associates as its Vice President. In 2011 he published his first novel, 'Angel Through the Storms: A Love Story', a multiple award winner, and is presently completing its sequel, 'The Bubble Rule'.

Dr. Binnings graduated with a degree in English Education from L.S.U. Shreveport in 1977 where he was the editor of its Spectra Literary Journal and was awarded the college's Mastery in English Award. After teaching for three years, he changed careers, earning his medical degree from L.S.U. Medical Center in Shreveport and enjoyed being the editor for its Synapse Newspaper. His twenty-eight years as a physician have rewarded him with the insight needed to produce characters that come to life. His forty years as a metaphysician add a spiritual dimension to his writing that contrasts sharply with the harsh realities he depicts. Dr. Binnings lives with his wife Joan in the Roanoke Valley of Virginia, nestled in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.
