Tactile Player an App by Purelogic Apps Solves the Problem Music Lovers Have With Android Phones

With the release of a new update, Tactile Player has become the new crown app for music lovers who would like to be able to control their music player with their phone's external buttons.

2012-06-08
COLUMBUS, OH, June 08, 2012 (Press-News.org) Tactile Player, made by Purelogic Apps, has made transitioning from old mp3 players to smart phones much easier for music listeners. One of the problems that touch screen music players have is that, in the case of Android phones, it's impossible to control what's playing without having the phone out and looking at the screen. With the release of this new update, Tactile Player has provided a solution for music lovers who want the best of both worlds.

Tactile Player solves this problem in a way similar to how CyanogenMod does on rooted phones. With a quick double press of the volume up or volume down button, Tactile Player tells the music player to skip forward or back and change the volume back to what it was before. Press the power button 3 times in a row and Tactile Player will tell the music player to pause or play. All of this works seamlessly as soon as the app is opened and continues to run in the background when the app is closed and even when the screen is off. The best part is Tactile Player works for most built in music players and nearly every 3rd party music player like PowerAMP, Google Music, and even Pandora Radio. Unlike CyanogenMod, Tactile Player works for non-rooted Android devices as well.

The developer of the app, a high school student who had the same issue and wanted to fix it, said: "A lot of people had the same issue and there was really no app on the Android Market that solved it. Many people have emailed me ways to improve the app and I believe that the updates to the app have made it function much more naturally."

There are currently two versions of the app: a full and free, no-ad, no time limit version as well as a paid version which comes with a widget. Tactile Player currently has a 4.4 star rating on Google Play and users' reviews show much love for the app. Tactile Player can be found on the Google Play Store here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.purelogicapps.android.tactileplayer
