iX MiXer Announces New Refreshing Summer Cocktails

Electrolyte-infused cocktail mixer helps keep summer drinkers hydrated when out in the sun

DENVER, CO, June 22, 2012 (Press-News.org) Today is the first official day of summer, and with that comes the need for new refreshing and hydrating drink suggestions from iX MiXer.

"During the summer months people drink at barbeques, pools and beaches.
Alcohol lowers the body's tolerance for heat and acts as a diuretic, which causes the body to lose more fluid and results in dehydration," said Jeff Somers, CEO and co-founder of iX MiXer. "The electrolytes, minerals and key vitamins in iX Mixer help to replenish fluids and help deter the symptoms of dehydration."

iX MiXer announced these three new summer cocktails to battle dehydration.

Pineapple RepliniX
2 parts blanco tequila
3 parts Citrus iX MiXer
1 part pineapple juice

Moisten the rim of a rocks glass with a lime wedge. Coat the rim of the glass with sugar. Combine all ingredients over ice and garnish with a lime wedge.

Memorial Lemonade
2 parts citrus flavored vodka
3 parts sparkling wine
Splash of Berrie iX MiXer

Combine all ingredients in a tall glass over ice. Garnish with a strawberry.

Knockout Punch
1 part Bacardi 151
1 part light rum
1 part Citrus iX MiXer
1 part Berrie iX MiXer

Combine all ingredients in a rocks glass over ice. Garnish with a lime. This recipe can also be made in a punch bowl.
