NASHVILLE, TN, June 29, 2012 (Press-News.org) "Churches are spiritual places. Artists are people who imbue life and creativity into the culture. It makes sense that church should be a place for artists to become invigorated and uplifted, and that's exactly what our church is all about," says Rev. Brian Fesler, Pastor of the Church of Scientology in Nashville.
That's why the Church of Scientology Celebrity Centre Nashville has launched a summer program of seminars designed to uplift local artists. "The seminars are delivered by seasoned professionals who know what they are talking about" continues Fesler, "and they are all about helping newcomers to the industry to learn."
The first seminar will be on July 15th and delivered by David Campbell and Raven Kane, both veterans in the music industry. Campbell, an arranger and composer, has worked on over 450 gold and platinum albums including Death Magnetic (Metallica), Minutes to Midnight (Linkin Park), KISS Symphony: Alive IV (KISS) Spirit (Leona Lewis), These Days (Bon Jovi), Fallen (Evanescence), ANThology (Alien Ant Farm), and various albums by his son Beck. He has worked with the finest names in music including Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Beyonce and Radiohead. Most recently his arrangements are found on Adele's 21 where Campbell did the string arrangements of five songs including "Rumor Has It." His albums have received 232 Grammy nominations, 50 Grammy awards and 2 Oscars.
The next seminar will feature Tony Rockliff on August 18th. Rockliff is an Internet and social media expert and according to Fesler, "he'll be returning to Nashville for a reprise of his popular seminar on how to market oneself in the music industry." Rockliff will share his expertise in SEO, niche affiliate marketing and the dynamics of internet social community building that has made him a regular contributor at marketing conferences.
The summer program will conclude with Tony Harnell, a recording artist, songwriter and producer. Harnell is best known as front man for the Norwegian rock band TNT, with whom he performed for 23 years. His presentation will be on Spetember 8th.
Fesler says that not only is it part of the mission of the Church of Scientology & Celebrity Centre Nashville to help the artist, but that Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard "often wrote about the importance of the artist in society. The artist leads us into the future with vision and dreams."
The seminars are open to the public. To RSVP or learn more about the Church's artist seminars, contact Julie Brinker at 615-687-4600. For more information on Scientology, visit http://www.scientology.org.
