READING, ENGLAND, October 01, 2010 (Press-News.org) As part of its recent expansion 2LS have taken on a new team member, Chris Whiteway, who joined the company as part of the UK Governments apprenticeship scheme. This scheme aims to place 16-24 year olds into businesses and provides additional training and support to the individual over and above what the company may provide. Chris will receive training in 2LS's GRIP recruitment software as well as working towards a business based NVQ. This is excellent for both parties as the company gets a motivated team member and the individual gets a great start to their working life.
Both Chris and 2LS managing director Neil Thompson were interviewed to be featured on the programme.
Speaking about the interview Thompson said "2LS were chosen to be interviewed as the apprenticeship we are offering is IT based rather than the more traditional trades based schemes that people associate with apprenticeships. During his time with us Chris will learn a wide variety of skills that are required for his support role including call handing, problem solving and development." He continued "We are happy to be able to offer this opportunity and look forward to seeing Chris play an ever expanding role in our support team."
The BBC Politics Show airs this Sunday, October 3rd, on BBC 1 at midday
2LS is the company behind the General Rapid Integrated Placement System (GRIP), an innovative software solution aimed at recruitment agencies.
