HUNTINGTON, NY, June 30, 2012 (Press-News.org) Long Island plastic surgery specialist Dr. James Romanelli has been named the new Chief of Staff at Huntington Hospital. Dr. Romanelli was formerly Chief of Surgery at Huntington, and has his own private practice, Romanelli Cosmetic Surgery.

Huntington Hospital is a full-service, not-for-profit community hospital, which is part of the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System. According to their mission statement, "Our primary mission is to provide a full range of inpatient, outpatient, and specialized healthcare services within an environment nurtured by respect and safety."
Dr. Romanelli's credentials and character align well with the hospital's mission. A board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Romanelli graduated from University of Notre Dame in 1978 and received his medical degree from SUNY Downstate in 1982. This was followed by eight years of post-graduate training in general surgery, plastic surgery and hand surgery.
"I am excited to apply the principles I have developed in my private practice on a larger scale," states Dr. Romanelli. "Huntington Hospital is an outstanding community hospital, and I am proud that they have chosen me to help with continued improvement in performance and patient care."
In addition to his duties at Huntington Hospital, Dr. Romanelli will continue to head Romanelli Cosmetic Surgery, a full-service plastic surgery practice that specializes in facial sculpting, liposuction and breast augmentation on Long Island.
Dr. James Romanelli is a board-certified plastic surgeon focusing on body, facial, and breast enhancement procedures. After earning his medical degree from SUNY Downstate, Dr. Romanelli received eight years of post-graduate specialty training in specialties including general surgery, plastic surgery, and hand surgery. Dr. Romanelli has received numerous awards and professional appointments in recognition of his surgical skill and results, and he currently serves as the Chief of Surgery at Huntington Hospital, in addition to providing a full range of procedures from his cosmetic surgery office.
