Wastech Controls and Engineering is Offering Vertical Pump Lift Stations

Wastech Controls and Engineering offers various wastewater management solutions, including vertical pump lift stations.

2012-07-02
CHATSWORTH, CA, July 02, 2012 (Press-News.org) Wastech Controls and Engineering is now designing and fabricating vertical pump lift station systems. These vertical pump lifts are useful for transferring wastewater, chemicals, or water in areas where gravity drains are not practical or will not work.

Vertical pump lift station systems are available in simplex or duplex pump configurations. Simplex systems have one pump, whereas duplex systems have two pumps. Each pump has a lockable disconnect capability, allowing maintenance to be performed on one pump while the other continues to work. Additionally, each pump has a check valve on its discharge to prevent the wastewater or chemicals from returning to the tank if the pump is shut off. The duplex lift stations operate in an alternating lead-lag method for even pump wear.

Wastech vertical pump lift stations feature a multipoint level switch assembly with a digital level display. These stations also feature a high-level switch to activate an alarm when the liquid levels become too high.

These systems have molded polyethylene or polypropylene tanks that are available in 16, 32, and 56 gallon sizes. Each tank features a polypropylene lid. Custom sizes are available.

Wastech offers a number of options for the vertical pump lift stations, allowing one to select the options most appropriate for their needs. Customers can choose from 1/2 horsepower, 3/4 horsepower, 1 horsepower, or 1 1/2 horsepower capabilities. Large pump lift stations are also available. There are also several power requirements available, such as a 115 VAC/1/60 Hz, 208-230 VAC/1/60 Hz, 208-230 VAC/3/60 Hz, or 460 VAC/3/60 Hz. In addition, customers have a choice on inlet connections, discharge piping material, as well as other custom options such as seismic tie-downs and double-containment for the tank.

2012-07-02
Several states across the country are moving to tighten the laws on strangling. A much debated topic, choking and strangulation is one of the top domestic abuse crimes, but is not considered a felony by many states. Those in favor of making it a felony believe abusers deserve more than a slap on the wrist when severe choking occurs, while those who oppose the bill fear the felony charge will be loosely tossed around, which is a problem when it comes to false complaints. If you have been falsely accused or arrested for assault and battery, you may need to speak with an experienced ...

Declining Patient Rights and Medical Malpractice Reform

2012-07-02
The National Practitioner Data Bank has caused much consternation among providers of medical services since its inception. While the complaints come in many forms, they all likely stem from the grim picture the data paints of the quality of medical care throughout the United States. In addition to a shocking number of medical malpractice injuries and deaths, the data tends to show that malpractice lawsuits have next to nothing to do with the rising cost of medical care. The myth that tort reform, or caps on medical malpractice claims, will make medical care affordable has ...
