Leading Affinity Insurance Provider Expands - Short Term Medical Insurance Offerings

Meyer and Associates partners with Health Insurance Innovations and HCC Life Insurance Company

2012-07-03
CHATHAM, NJ, July 03, 2012 (Press-News.org) Meyer and Associates, a leading provider of affinity insurance programs, has expanded its health insurance options through partnerships with two of the nation's leading providers of Short Term Medical Insurance (STM): Health Insurance Innovations and HCC Life Insurance Company

Health insurance, and more importantly lack thereof, remain a concern for many Americans. Young adults and recent college graduates often have a need to fill a temporary health insurance gap after graduation. While the health care reform has enabled some young adults to remain insured under their parents' plans, this is not an option for everyone, nor is it ideal for some. A recent poll conducted by the Commonwealth Fund, a nonprofit organization that analyzes health care issues, found that 36 percent of young adults between the ages of 19 and 29 had trouble paying medical bills or said they were paying off medical debt.

"Many new graduates turn to their respective alumni associations for advice on health insurance after graduation. This is where programs like ours can generate substantial good will. We function as an extension of the alumni office and are able to provide information and unbiased assistance with insurance options. Short Term Medical Insurance is among the most popular products for new grads to consider," explained Ann Meyer Abdi, Vice President.

Meyer and Associates is committed to providing superior service to clients and their alums. The company plans to continue to expand its product portfolio of revenue-generating insurance programs for groups of all sizes and alums in all life stages.
