Organised annually by the Agency for Science, Technology and Research, the event will be held at the Science Centre Singapore and encompasses three weeks of activities, coming to a close on August 17th.
The theme of this year's festival is 'create new possibilities', with events designed to engage people with the boundless potential discoveries all around us that can be realised through science.
Events include the X-periment! science carnival, the Doktor Kaboom! science shows, the Science Buskers Festival, the BioRhythms Exhibition and the Star Lecture 2012, which will be partnered with the UK Royal Institution's Christmas Lectures for the first time this year.
In addition to the main activities at the Science Centre Singapore, a number of events will be held at various satellite locations before and after the main festival dates.
