ORLANDO, FL, July 04, 2012 (Press-News.org) As the coming weeks are a time for celebrating independence, Country Music Television debuts the new single by musician Jimmie Van Zant. A song whose title, "Feels like Freedom" not only suggests that feeling, but embraces it as well.
The first single and title track from Jimmie Van Zant's upcoming album Feels like Freedom debuted on CMT.com June 29th, 2012. The video was shot in central Florida, directed by Ben Bacharach-White and features a heart-warming tale of a young couple's eternal love for one another.
Also known for his single "Ronnie's Song," a tribute to his cousin and lead singer of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Van Zant's latest album combines the southern rock influence he's known for with a contemporary country sound that is the hallmark of Grammy nominated producer Kent Wells. The single was written by ASCAP Songwriter of the Year Brett James, whose prior hits include Carrie Underwood's "Jesus Take the Wheel," and Jessica Andrews' "Who I Am." The breakout country album from Jimmie Van Zant will be available on-line and in stores on July 3rd.
"The album tells a story," says Van Zant, "and if you listen to it carefully you will find it will touch your heart."
