California Copyright Conference Presents: Music Industry Survival Guide

Music Business Survival Guide is a special program presented by the California Copyright Conference the evening of October 12 in Los Angeles.

2010-10-01
WOODLAND HILLS, CA, October 01, 2010 (Press-News.org) Offering a panel of visionary thinkers and entrepreneurs, the California Copyright Conference is devoting an evening to the discussion of the evolving business landscape of the music industry as well as strategies for the future. Taking place the evening of October 12 in Los Angeles, the event is open to the public.

"Challenges in the music business are immense," notes CCC President Shawn LeMone of ASCAP, who cites declining record sales and increased competition for placement in film, TV and video games as just two examples. "The opportunities, however, are unprecedented," LeMone continues. "Music is being listened to more than ever before and the explosion of new technologies has created many excellent avenues to monetize music."

Everyone involved with the music industry, from lawyers to performers and from managers to music publishers, is invited to join the CCC in a frank discussion of how to survive and even prosper as a music industry professional now and into the future.

The presentation entitled "The Music Industry: A Survival Guide for the Future" will be co-moderated by LeMone and Diane Snyder-Ramirez of the Royalty Review Council, a CCC officer and board member. "The information we are going to present in this program will be extremely valuable for every musician and artist as well as those supporting creators who are seeking success in the modern age," states Snyder-Ramirez.

The event will feature an impressive list of speakers, including:

* Russell Emanuel, CEO, Extreme Music
* Amanda Marks, EVP/GM, Universal Music Distribution
* Patrick Russo, Principal, The Salter Group
* Steve Schnur, President, EA Music Group

When and Where:
The "Music Survival Guide for the Future" CCC program will take place Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel, 15433 Ventura Blvd., Sherman Oaks, CA 91403 (near Sepulveda & Ventura Blvd., just West of the 405 freeway). The parking entrance is on Orion Avenue and parking is free with validation at the event. Check-in is at 6:15 p.m., cocktails begin at 6:30, dinner at 7:00 with the presentation to follow. Frizzy Hair - Exposed & Explained from Beauty Stop Online

2010-10-01
I used to think that frizzy hair was uncontrollable and the only way to get results was to tame it down with different hair products. I have often heard the usual theories that frizz is caused by weather and genetics. Genetics meaning that some hair textures have a natural tendency to be frizzy and if the weather is bad, your hair will be bad... just accept it. In reality I found that the real culprit of frizz in the majority of hair types is the lack of moisture in the hair. Wow, this makes so much sense to me. In my own personal experience I have often thought that my ...
