Bluff European Rankings Castelluccio Stays Top

Grassroots events dominate the European poker scene during WSOP

2012-07-07
LONDON, ENGLAND, July 07, 2012 (Press-News.org) Italian Sergio Castelluccio remains on top spot, thanks to a fourth place finish at the EPT Grand Final, which sits nicely with his three other deep finishes in European Poker Tour and Italian Poker Tour events. No change to the top ten this month, as the European circuit winds down as the professional poker-playing community decamps to Vegas for the WSOP.

The rankings are calculated using the amount of runners and the tournament buy-in as multipliers. This formula is designed to reward solid, consistent play, with no massive jumps for first place. This month, because of the WSOP running in Vegas, ranked tournaments are made up of grassroots events.

First, the GUKPT heads to the South Coast at the beginning of the month for a GBP 500 + 50 No Limit Hold'em Main Event. You can qualify on G Casino Poker by playing feeders and satellites into a weekly four-seat guaranteed super satellite. The structure provides all bankrolls opportunities to qualify, starting with freerolls and buy-ins as low as GBP0.25.

Meanwhile, the third leg of the new LCI UK Poker tour heads to Alea Nottingham from 9 -15 July, for a GBP250+GBP50 NLH Main Event with GBP10,000 guaranteed. Satellites are running exclusively at WSOP.com for as little as $1.10.

Across the channel, the Partouche Poker Tour arrives in beautiful Provence for a EUR500 No Limit Hold'em Main Event, complemented by two low stakes side events. Satellites and information are available online for French players at Partouche.fr.

No sooner does the dust settle on the GUKPT Plymouth than it's up to Bolton for leg 8. Again, you can qualify on G Casino Poker by playing feeders and satellites into a weekly four-seat guaranteed super satellite. The structure provides all bankrolls opportunities to qualify, starting with freerolls and buy-ins as low as GBP0.25.
