FAULKTON, SD, July 09, 2012 (Press-News.org) Faulkton Area Economic Development (FAEC) has partnered with Golden Shovel Agency and its online Web solution, Economic Gateway, to embrace and promote economic development across Faulk County found between the James and Missouri Rivers along U.S. Highway 212. The new site can be viewed at http://www.faulktonsd.com/faulkton
According to John Marshall, Golden Shovel VP of Sales, the web solution will put the town of Faulkton and its surrounding communities on the cutting-edge of economic development.
"Economic Gateway will provide FAEC and its residents with the tools necessary to collaborate and succeed long-term on the economic development front through web and social media solutions," said Marshall.
Faulkton, a friendly town of 785 people, is a farming and ranching community. Its economy depends heavily on agriculture. A wide range of crops from wheat, corn, and sunflowers, are grown in the area. Livestock producers abound throughout the Faulkton area with beef, hog and sheep operations dominating the industry
