HONG KONG, July 11, 2012 (Press-News.org) Hong Kong Repertory Theatre (HKRT) is gearing up to present its latest production, I Have a Date with Autumn, as part of the company's 35th anniversary celebration.

The show is a sequel to I Have a Date with Spring, which first hit the stage two decades ago and was highly successful, performing strongly at the box office and attracting widespread acclaim from critics.

It tells the story of Danny, a celebrated musician struggling for motivation and neglecting those around him as a result of a lost romance.

"Little did he know that in the shadowed corner away from the limelight, there hides a love story whose tragedy and bravery are truly worth singing about," the promoters explained in a statement.

The production sees talented Cantopop singer-songwriter Hins Cheung team up with the original cast of the show to create a stellar bill.

Established in 1977, the HKRT is the largest and longest-running professional theatre company in Hong Kong.

I Have a Date with Autumn will run at the Lyric Theatre from Sunday July 29th to Sunday August 19th, with tickets priced from HK$150 to HK$450 (GBP12 to GBP40).
