NEW YORK, NY, July 12, 2012 (Press-News.org) Film lovers can enjoy a cinema experience with a difference in New York this summer.
Hudson River Park's RiverFlicks outdoor cinema will be showing films on Wednesdays and Fridays throughout July and August.
The screens are situated between Pier 25 and Pier 84 in the Manhattan park and there is no charge for watching the films.
On Wednesdays, the films at Pier 63 are for adults, while those screened at Pier 46 on Fridays are suitable for children.
The RiverFlicks website states: "Pier 63 features a wide waterside esplanade with unique stone seating. The central upland area includes a large, green lawn bowl and a garden by Lynden Miller."
The movies start at sunset, which is approximately 20:30 local time and cinema-goers can enjoy free popcorn. If that is not enough, drinks and snacks are also available for purchase.
Adults can look forward to seeing an array of top movies in the park this summer, including MoneyBall, Super 8, Bridesmaids and Limitless.
The children's films due to be screened include Kung Fu Panda 2, Hugo, Puss in Boots and Back to the Future.
LateRooms.com recommends a wide range of places to stay in New York that could appeal to film fans, including the Hilton Garden Inn Times Square.
