VQ OrthoCare Announces New Ligament Knee Braces

Catalyst Elite Introduces New Adjustable Technology That Moves With Muscles and Protects Joints

2012-07-14
CARLSBAD, CA, July 14, 2012 (Press-News.org) VQ OrthoCare , creator of the award-winning BioniCare solution, is pleased to announce the release of its newest ligament brace, the Catalyst Elite . As part of VQ OrthoCare's brace line, Catalyst Elite is designed to be worn during activity to prevent injuries including ACL tears; MCL tears, meniscus tears; sprains and strains.

First introduced in 2007, Catalyst Elite was brought to market to meet the demand of patients spanning from professional athletes to weekend warriors who needed a sturdy, comfortable brace that didn't migrate when used. The newest edition of the brace features the patented adjustable Active Thigh Cuff , which delivers the ultimate in suspension, protection and comfort by moving with the muscles throughout the range of motion to avoid slipping, gapping or irritation. Additionally, the Catalyst Elite also includes a posterior lower cuff which reduces tibial pressure issues, an aerospace-grade frame for superior protection and anatomically precise hinges which enhance the ease of movement. The brace is available in off-the-shelf and custom versions both of which have an optional rigid top. The off-the shelf version provides the strength of a custom brace in an off-the-shelf model. The custom version is offered in 12 colors including, royal purple, energy green, platinum silver and matte black.

"At VQ OrthoCare, we are dedicated to creating versatile braces for all activity levels," said Jim Knape, president and founder, VQ OrthoCare. "The Catalyst Elite brace not only allows patients protection while staying active, but does so in a comfortable design that reduces migration and allows greater freedom of movement than other braces."
