The Millennium Group's Erik Hansen Elected Co-Chair of the San Francisco PCC

Postal Customer Council (PCC) of San Francisco elects The Millennium Group's Erik Hansen to Co-Chair organization.

2012-07-18
TINTON FALLS, NJ, July 18, 2012 (Press-News.org) The Millennium Group announces that Western Region Business Development Associate, Erik Hansen, was recently elected Co-Chair of the San Francisco Postal Customer Council. This exciting announcement expands Erik's industry credibility, having served on several postal customer councils over the last 15 years including the Denver PCC, the Northern Colorado PCC, and the Los Angeles PCC. As Co-Chair, Erik will be working with the San Francisco Post Master and Postal Council to showcase the region's mailing industry. He hopes to provide tours of the Bulk Mail and Processing Unit while also introducing new products, such as the USPS Postal Kiosks, to the business community.

"Since The Millennium Group manages mail rooms in the San Francisco market, I feel a strong commitment to supporting the mailing industry and continuing the tradition," stated Hansen. "After attending several SF PCC events and meetings, I recognized that my experience would be best served in the role of PCC industry Co-Chair."

This announcement comes at an exciting time to be a member of the SF PCC Board. The mailing industry is changing, as is what businesses are mailing and why. They are now able to track all types of mail through the postal system to ensure timely delivery, reduce UAA mail through data processing systems, utilize personalized logo flat-rate boxes to increase brand awareness, and manage their mailing relationships. The San Francisco PCC is looking forward to their new addition that will contribute to the ongoing transitions in the mail industry.

About the Postal Customer Council

The Postal Customer Council (PCC) was established in 1961 to improve communications between U.S. Postal Service customers and managers. The organization has grown increasingly more important since the 1970s, when business mailing issues became its primary focus. Today, there are more than 200 local Postal Customer Councils with approximately 120,000 members across the nation. Regular meetings, educational programs, mailer clinics, and seminars keep members abreast of the latest Postal Service developments. Members also work closely with local Post Office locations to make mail service more efficient, resulting in improved delivery and greater customer satisfaction.
