SUNY Ulster Schedules Info Session for New Degree Program in Surveying Technology July 26

Introducing the new Associate in Applied Science Degree in Surveying Technology, this information session will allow participants to learn about the profession, meet the instructors, and discover the growing job opportunities in this exciting field.

STONE RIDGE, NY, July 19, 2012 (Press-News.org) SUNY Ulster will present an information session on a new degree program in Surveying Technology on July 26, beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Business Resource Center, One Development Court in Kingston.

Surveyors play a crucial role in the building of every house, office, school, road, bridge, and are involved in land surveying, route surveying, construction surveying, photogrammetry, mapping, global positioning systems, geographical information systems, and other areas of property description and measurements.
Students successfully completing this program will be prepared to work in the field of surveying, eventually leading to professional land surveyor licensure. This program was also designed to seamlessly transfer to a four-year institution for Surveying Engineering Technology.
