HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA, July 20, 2012 (Press-News.org) Noble Friends Foundation for OC Animal Care and Paws for a Cause will hold its first annual 2-mile Dog Walk on Sunday, September 30, at Huntington Beach Pier in Orange County, California. Participants can register online now at http://www.paws-for-a-cause.net.
The Paws for a Cause Dog Walk features a 2-mile walk that starts at the famous Huntington Beach Pier and continues along the beautiful bike path right along the beach. Donations and proceeds will be given to Noble Friends Foundation for OC Animal Care, the 501c3 non-profit sister organization of OC Animal Care. OC Animal Care provides abandoned pets with the safety, protection from harm, humane care, and dignity they deserve as they await their forever home. It also strives to bring about a greater awareness of the realities of pet overpopulation its roots causes to Orange County, such as educating the community about irresponsible pet ownership, buying purebred pets sourced from "puppy mills", and the importance of spaying and neutering pets.
The walk begins at 8:30am, with check-in beginning at 7:30am. Parking is available in public beach lots located at Pacific Coast Highway and 6th Street and Pacific Coast Highway and 1st Street. Metered parking is also available on the Pacific Coast Highway north of the Pier. The walk will feature booths for sponsors, who will be offering free give-aways and offers for participants. Bring your dogs and enjoy a morning of fun while supporting a great cause! All breeds of dogs are welcome. Participants will receive a goodie-bag filled by event sponsors as well as a free T-shirt.
Registration begins at $30 per participant, and $25 per participant for groups of 8 or more.
