Good Enough Is Not Good Enough

Jase Haber believes in Film Resurrection

2012-07-21
MIAMI, FL, July 21, 2012 (Press-News.org) Filmmaker and "best actor" nominee Jase Haber is on a mission to resurrect his previously made, yet never screened films. While many filmmakers feel that a movie made and finished should remain that way, Jase believes that when you can make it better you should. " I am a perfectionist, and if I can express something in a more powerful way I will go back to the drawing board."

He is collaborating with a new team of editors to bring a fresh set of eyes to his creations.

The first movie in Haber's project list is "Self Intervention", which depicts the story of an alcoholic who decides to take his recovery into his own hands. The movie has already been submitted to various film festivals where Jase Haber's name is well known.

Haber's own run in with a short period of alcohol abuse enabled him to see this movie from a different, more authentic angle. " Though I was a long shot from my character's level of alcoholism, I realized that I can bring a whole other, more realistic level to this film. You go through stages and there were things that did not feel real to me anymore. I felt it needed more grit...."

Hollywood's movie styles and editing technology move fast and keeping up with these advances is key to producing high quality films.

In order to get these movies ready for festival submission, Haber wants to employ cutting edge special effects and innovative editing techniques.

"In the music industry last year's beat will not fly this year. It's completely normal to reproduce a song and create a more modern version of a song. I'm doing the same with my movies. "

The birth of Liam, Jase's newborn son provided additional motivation to strive for excellence. "Having a child just pushes you so much more to achieve the next level in your craft. Even if they don't understand it yet, there is this something that makes you want to give it your best for them."
