NEW YORK, NY, July 21, 2012 (Press-News.org) The developers of TrashCanKidz, a new brand of toys that intends to address social issues affecting children worldwide, are seeking supporters to help launch its virtual online game through crowdfunding platform, Kickstarter. Inspired by the real life hardships faced by children globally, the game transports players to the "Forgotten World" where kids must take action in order to transform it into one where the TrashCanKidz can thrive and find happiness.
Through the crowd funding site KickStarter, game developers are seeking supporters to help improve and expand TrashCanKidz existing platform to enhance multiplayer functionality, allow for more characters and character customization, and offer richer locations and mini-games. By showing support for TrashCanKidz on Kickstarter, supporters can receive rewards such as a special edition TrashCanKidz Trading Card Game, limited edition TrashCanKidz plush dolls, or even have a street named after them in the online game.
The developers are also seeking to complete the TrashCanKidz website, where parents and children can learn about the mission, register for the game, and purchase TrashCanKidz products, such as a doll and trading cards.
TrashCanKidz are ambassadors of Hope that represent over 150 million homeless - but not hopeless - children around the world. With every purchase of a TrashCanKidz product, 20 percent of the revenue earned will be donated to TrashCanKidz Foundation to improve the lives of millions of children in the world's most poverty stricken areas.
