PHILADELPHIA, PA, July 21, 2012 (Press-News.org) It was announced recently that The Huffington Post is considering Dr. James Wadley, well known relationship and sexuality therapist, to be their "go to" relationship expert for their podcast and spreecast programs on an ongoing basis. Mercedes Torres, Senior Booker for HuffPost Live, has previously requested Dr. Wadley's participation in an earlier podcast and most recently relied on his expertise to provide advice regarding how to help children cope with the divorce of their parents during a spreecast which was broadcast live on June 25, 2012. (http://www.spreecast.com/events/the-mommy-daddy-yo-yo)
According to Ms. Torres, "HuffPost Live is a live streaming television network that provides 12 hours of programming every weekday. HuffPost Live is more relaxed, more free-flowing, and much more spontaneous and interactive. The network provides programming that is built around the biggest, hottest, most engaging stories from The Huffington Post, using them as the jumping-off point for conversations and expert commentary."
Dr. James Wadley is a licensed professional therapist who specializes in marriage, family, and sexuality therapy and practices in the states of Pennsylvania and New Jersey out of two office locations under the name of Evolution Consulting. Dr. Wadley is currently an Associate Professor and Director of the Master of Human Services program at Lincoln University in Philadelphia. He is also author of two books: The Lost and Found Box: A Provocative Exploration about Rediscovering Happiness and the Real You! and "Would You Marry You? A Clever, Peculiar, and Introspective Book About a Lifetime Commitment to Oneself". Along with his teaching duties and private practice, Dr. Wadley is also a frequent contributor and guest expert for a number of well respected media outlets including BlackDoctor.org, Ebony Magazine, HealthyBlackMen.org, and Blog Talk Radio.
In a recent interview, Dr. Wadley said, "I was thrilled when HuffPost Live asked me to do the spreecast in June. The subject of how best to help children cope with the emotional stress that is caused by their parents divorcing is one that I encounter quite often in my private practice, and I really feel as though we were able to get some very useful and important information out there during the spreecast. I am looking forward to working on future projects for HuffPost Live where my expertise can be called on to help provide people with ways to live happier, more satisfying lives."
Further information about Dr. Wadley including upcoming appearances can be found by visiting http://www.drjameswadley.com or by following Dr. Wadley on twitter@phdjamesw and facebook. 2012-07-21
THE BOY GAME is a transmedia project (video and interactive website) that explores bullying not from the vantage point of the roles boys play, but the cultural landscape in which these roles flourish. Much focus is on getting schools to protect targets, which is critical, but the truth is boys can't be policed 24/7, and all boys, even bullies (who have most often been targeted themselves) suffer under hyper-masculine norms of toughness.
