HUNTINGTON, NY, July 22, 2012 (Press-News.org) The Long Island plastic surgery specialists at Romanelli Cosmetic Surgery say people shopping for a facelift should be wary of surgical practices that advertise cut-rate procedures.
While Dr. James Romanelli and Dr. Dana Khuthaila acknowledge that price is a valid consideration when choosing a surgeon, they caution people to seek out the best practitioner rather than the cheapest one.
"Like any surgical procedure, cosmetic or otherwise, a facelift has inherent risks, not the least of which is an unnatural appearance following the surgery," Dr. Romanelli says. "The procedure is extremely safe in the hands of a capable surgeon, but I tell candidates for a face lift in Long Island to avoid outfits that emphasize cost more than quality."
Dr. Romanelli says many practices, some of which are nationwide chains, often tout "lunch-hour" procedures at discounted prices to lure patients who have concerns about the cost of cosmetic surgery.
"Marketing language that focuses primarily on the cost of surgery should raise a red flag," he says, adding that mistakes made during hastily performed facelifts can sometimes lead to infection and other complications.
"When you choose a surgeon for your facelift, you're trusting that person with not only your appearance but also your health," says Dr. Khuthaila, who practices with Dr. Romanelli. "Basing this type of decision, which can have lifelong repercussions, on an advertising campaign that promises low prices can be incredibly risky."
"Do your research when selecting a surgeon," Dr. Romanelli says. "Look for someone who is board-certified, who has consistently positive reviews and who is focused on the safety of the procedure as well as the quality of your results. Before moving ahead with surgery, meet with the surgeon, ask a lot of questions and make sure that you feel confident and secure with the answers."
Romanelli Cosmetic Surgery has developed a reputation as a quality plastic surgery practice in Long Island. Liposuction, facial sculpting, breast augmentation and other surgical procedures are offered, as well as a full range for medical spa services, including BOTOX Cosmetic, dermal fillers and laser skin rejuvenation.
Dr. James Romanelli is a board-certified plastic surgeon focusing on body, facial, and breast enhancement procedures. After earning his medical degree from SUNY Downstate, Dr. Romanelli received eight years of post-graduate specialty training in specialties including general surgery, plastic surgery, and hand surgery. Dr. Romanelli has received numerous awards and professional appointments in recognition of his surgical skill and results, and he currently serves as the Chief of Surgery at Huntington Hospital, in addition to providing a full range of procedures from his cosmetic surgery office.

What is a Patch Panel and Why is it Needed for a Computer Server Rack?
2012-07-22
Assembling hardware is normally arranged so the number of similar or same circuits appears on jacks. This makes it more convenient for monitoring, interconnecting as well as testing all circuits, in a flexible manner. Patch panels make it a lot easier for IT technicians to rapidly change paths of selected signals and this makes it very cost effective. There is no extra expense of dedicated switching equipment so the money saved can be substantial.Typically a shorter patch cable plugs into the front side of the panel and at the back holds a connection which is much longer ...
Employee Satisfaction and Talent Acquisition: Why Wellbeing is a Must
2012-07-22
In the current employment market, small and medium enterprise (SME) employers need to do everything possible to attract and retain the best staff. And while it's true that SME organisations have traditionally scored well on important points such as employee satisfaction, there are always opportunities for gaining an edge over the competition and demonstrating how staff are valued - such as providing private medical insurance for employees.
Currently it looks like there are challenges for UK organisations in terms of employee satisfaction and engagement generally - and ...

Dance enthusiast Amy Nichole Banner had her holiday turned upside down when her dancing partner Richard's heart stopped. His friends had already noticed "the colour drain from his face" and rushed over to help.
Amy was first on the scene and quickly established that Richards's heart was not beating. As a mere coincidence she had completed a 3 day first aid course just days before and because of this knew the correct CPR ratios. From this point onwards she took the role of group leader in what would need to be a heroic team effort:
"It was important ...
