Denise Nowell Joins Garner Chamber as Director, Member Services

GARNER, NC, August 19, 2010

Neal Padgett, president of the Garner Chamber of Commerce, is pleased to announce that Denise Nowell has been named director, member services. Nowell had been assisting the Chamber in an interim capacity and now joins the organization as a staff member.

As member services director, Nowell will be responsible for designing and implementing programs, events, services and communications for members to maximize the benefits of their Chamber membership.

With varied experience in sales, event planning and guest services, Nowell has a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. She most recently worked for Novant Health at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Her previous work experience includes positions with the Winston-Salem Chamber of Commerce, Xpressley Bookkeeping and SunLife Sunrooms and Spas.

Nowell graduated from High Point University with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration/management. She attributes her strong desire for connecting with others to being introduced to a variety of diverse cultures at a young age. Reared in the Philippines, Nowell speaks two Filipino languages and has had opportunities to return as a tour guide and interpreter.
