Sue Gifford Joins Metro Health Foundation as Special Gifts Officer

The Metro Health Hospital Foundation announced today that Sue Gifford has joined as its special gifts officer.

WYOMING, MI, July 26, 2012 (Press-News.org) The Metro Health Hospital Foundation announced today that Sue Gifford has joined as its special gifts officer.

In her new role, Gifford will be responsible for increasing philanthropic support for Metro Health by seeking special and planned gifts. She will develop and enhance relationships with current and potential donors in support of major programs and projects of Metro Health. . She will also develop, implement and manage stewardship efforts to complement special and planned gift efforts.

Prior to joining Metro Health, Gifford served as donor relations manager for Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. She was responsible for developing and securing new relationships with community leaders, corporations and foundations, as well as strengthening established donor relationships. Additionally, Gifford brings leadership expertise through her relationship management experience at Coldwell Banker and Excel Telecommunications.

Active in the community, she has volunteered her time with the MSU Alumni Club, MSU Means Business, Catherine's Health Center, Mel Trotter Mission, In the Image, Gilda's Club, Lowell Wellness Committee, Lowell Pink Arrow Project, Toys for Tots, God's Kitchen and Kids' Food Basket. She is also a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals West Michigan and Inforum.

She holds a bachelor of arts magna cum laude from Aquinas College.

A native of Grand Rapids, she resides in Jenison with her children.
