Lake Geneva Economic Development Corporation Announces New Business / Community Campaign

LGEDC has contracted with Signalfire, (www.signalfire.us) a full service digital advertising and branding agency based in Delavan, Wis., to develop a new website and related marketing materials to promote the campaign.

DELAVAN, WI, July 27, 2012

The Lake Geneva Economic Development Corporation (LGEDC) (www.lgedc.com), a not-for-profit corporation based in Lake Geneva, Wis., has embarked on a new two-fold campaign to promote their available parcels in the Lake Geneva Business Park, and the many advantages of making Lake Geneva a home for both business and personal reasons.

LGEDC has contracted with Signalfire, (www.signalfire.us) a full service digital advertising and branding agency based in Delavan, Wis., to develop a new website and related marketing materials to promote the campaign. The website is scheduled to launch in September of 2012, and will serve as an important online marketing tool for the new initiatives.

Also participating in this project is the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Center for Innovation and Business Development. The UW-W Business Center is coordinating a four-piece mailing program to a selected group of medium size manufacturers in northern Illinois who might be considering expanding or moving their operations. The marketing campaign, "Lake Geneva—Where Your Business Belongs," demonstrates why Lake Geneva is a desirable location to live, work, and play.

LGEDC has recently contracted with MLG Commercial, a Brookfield, Wis., real estate firm, to help promote the remaining parcels for sale in the Lake Geneva Business Park, (www.lgedc/lgbp.html) as well as the land LGEDC owns in the future Business Commons of Lake Geneva.

LGEDC was formed in 1981 to coordinate the activities and resources of the public and private sectors in Lake Geneva to promote the achievement of community-wide economic development and local neighborhood improvement. The corporation's goals were designed to stabilize the local economy, provide incentives for local investment, help establish and attract environmentally desirable business, and promote job growth and tax-based diversity through community-based development programs.
