Local Specialty Pharmacy Demonstrates Strong Commitment To Quality Health Care

(http://www.medprorx.com), a provider of specialty pharmacy services to clients with chronic illnesses who need clotting factor, IVIg and other specialty pharmacy medications, has announced that it has been awarded Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation from URAC, a Washington, D.C.-based health care accrediting organization that establishes quality standards for the industry. URAC takes a collaborative, educational approach to accreditation and utilizes a standards development process which is consensus driven, with hundreds of industry experts serving as volunteers to establish and revise appropriate industry benchmarks. This broad, inclusive process of all stakeholders ensures that URAC's standards are balanced and address a diversity of needs and concerns.

The URAC accreditation process demonstrates a commitment to quality services and serves as a framework to improve business processes through benchmarking organizations against nationally recognized standards. Hundreds of industry experts serve as volunteers to establish and revise appropriate industry benchmarks as part of the consensus decision-making for the URAC standards development process.
