New Website Set to Revolutionize the Way Clubs Fundraise

Ourclubfundraiser.com is a new website designed to help grassroots clubs raise money. This platform offers a unique concept where club members can compete against each other in a fun sports prediction league all in aid of a good cause.

2012-08-02
SANTA FE, NM, August 02, 2012 (Press-News.org) With the UK economy at an all-time low sports clubs around the country are struggling to raise funds. This has led to many clubs not being able to pay for referees, jerseys, vital equipment and pitch repairs.

"Funding is the lifeline of all sports clubs and without it we cannot continue" said John Adam who has 20 years experience coaching grassroots football. "We have really struggled to pay for the basic costs over the last few years." said Adam who is now the under 12 manager at Barrow Rovers.
The onus is falling on participants to pick up the costs associated with the club. This can lead to high subscription costs which many can't pay, leading to low participation levels.
"We have seen a drop in attendances due to the fact that many participants cannot afford costs associated with taking part in sport." said Adam.

David Williams, the founder of OurClubFundraiser.com witnessed these problems at first hand and decided to do something about it. "I got sick of seeing sports clubs I was involved in losing players due to increasing costs". "Amongst the members of my Football team, I noticed quite a few of them were involved in fantasy football leagues, they often joked with each other about who was winning." Williams saw this as a major opportunity for local sports clubs.

"I thought what if I could set up an online league and charge club members a small fee to take part." The idea for OurClubFundraiser.com started here and has been in development since.
OurClubFundraiser.com allows clubs to set up fun sports prediction league. Clubs sign up and invite their members to answer a series of questions regarding upcoming sporting events. The players pay a small fee to participate which goes directly to the club. Players sign up online and all updating is done via the website minimizing the club's administration efforts.

There has been a huge amount of interest in the website thus far, over 100 clubs have signed up. "Clubs see this as a minimum-hassle way to raise funds, all they have to do is get their members to enter and put up prizes" said Williams.

Ourclubfundraiser launched on the 31st of July 2012.
