VICTORIA, BC, August 02, 2012 (Press-News.org) WEC Inc. has released HERO Network - a FREE goodwill utility application that allows parents or guardians to securely keep a profile of their children, including pictures and vital statistics (e.g. health conditions) online and on their Smart-phone. In seconds HERO Network allows any guardian to activate a HERO Alert if their child is lost or missing. HERO Network uses geo-location technology to send an Alert to other HEROES who are within 10 KM/6.21 Miles.
The HERO Network aims to raise awareness, and to educate both children and guardians on the topic of child safety.
WEC Inc. has addressed initial bugs and has updated the current version - update the app for the most recent version of the application.

- HERO Network is a free application
- NO Advertising, updates or newsletters - HEROES are ONLY alerted by other HEROES.
- Guardians invite other Guardians who also care for their child.
- My Network empowers shared Guardians to activate a HERO Network Alert on behalf of the parent while responsible for that child.
- An Updated Alert allows any Guardian to send additional information to aid HEROES in identifying the child.
- HEROES can instantly reply with critical information, in the form of a text or photo, directly back to the Guardian.
