OXFORD, UK, August 02, 2012 (Press-News.org) Tutors International today announced a dramatic rise in the number of adult private tuition enquiries, either as part of a tutoring schedule for their children, or for live-in tutors to help adults learn a new skill or brush up on an old one.
Until now, families have been looking for live-in private tutors to teach their children full time. But Tutors International have now seen a rise in the number of parents who would like to take advantage of the breadth of the tutor's skills with a few hours of individual tuition for themselves.
Adam Caller, who founded private tuition agency Tutors International in 1999, comments on the figures:
"Before this year all our enquiries were for private tutors for children or recent high school graduates who want to retake exams. This year we're seeing around 15% of our enquiries are for adult tuition. A live-in private tutor for the children may be required to spend a few hours each week to help a parent brush up on a foreign language, or it might be a request for a live-in tutor to provide tuition in someone's spare time."
Tutors International place high calibre full-time private tutors with families around the world. Their clients often have lifestyles that involve extensive travel, and may employ several staff. The addition of a live-in private tutor can provide the opportunity to explore creative skills or improve a second language.
"We've found that people often regret losing a previous musical talent, or would like to complement their business lives with a creative skill," continued Caller. "We've had enquiries for music tutors, fine art tutors, and even a request recently from a lady who wanted a better appreciation of British poetry."
"Busy professional people might want to improve their English, learn Mandarin, or rekindle an instrument," says Caller. "If there is a marvellous tutor in your house, you should take advantage of that."
