ORANGE COUNTY, CA, August 02, 2012 (Press-News.org) ARS, a leading brand of American Residential Services L.L.C, and one of the premier heating and air conditioning service companies nationwide, is now the local provider of a revolutionary hybrid air conditioning system in Orange County and the Inland Empire. AquaChill, engineered and manufactured by Sacramento-based Beutler Corporation, produces air colder than regular air conditioning systems when temperatures are at their peak. According to the Sacramento Municipal Utility District, AquaChill is designed to use up to 29 percent less energy than traditional systems. The AquaChill unit is sold, installed and maintained by ARS in the Inland Empire and Orange County markets.
A major local utility company has just reinstated a substantial rebate of up to $2,100 for AquaChill installations within its service areas. ARS in Orange County and the Inland Empire is currently matching the utility company's rebate, as an incentive for homeowners to take advantage of the energy savings of the AquaChill air conditioning unit. The combined rebate is among the largest in the country and is given to homeowners immediately, requiring no extra paperwork.
The engineering mechanism behind the AquaChill product is water. The air around the condenser is precooled by water, giving the system the ability to cool faster and colder than a typical air conditioner, yet without adding moisture in the home. Traditional air conditioning units rely on the hot outdoor air to cool the refrigerant in the coil, which in turn, cools the home. However, as outdoor temperatures rise, so does the temperature inside the home and the air conditioning unit must work harder and longer to maintain the home's indoor temperature. AquaChill is designed to reduce energy use by cooling with water, as water has the ability to absorb heat at a faster rate than air. The water-cooling technology is especially helpful in reducing energy demand during peak periods and helping to lower the overall load on the grid.
