Fort Lauderdale Fashion Week Launches during Famous Boat Show Redefining the Resort Lifestyle with Headlining Designer Carolina Herrera

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL, October 04, 2010

The inaugural Fort Lauderdale Fashion Week (FFW) is a two-day fashion soiree built around luxury, glamour, and the essence of the Fort Lauderdale resort lifestyle. Fort Lauderdale Fashion Week presented by Ferrari Maserati-Ft Lauderdale sponsored by The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale will take place October 29-30, 2010 at the W Fort Lauderdale Hotel. FFW will give locals and boat show attendees an event showcasing high-end eveningwear and resort wear collections.

Fort Lauderdale Fashion Week's VIP Runway Reception showcasing eveningwear will be held Friday, October 29, 2010 at 8:00pm. The VIP Runway Reception will feature: headliner Carolina Herrera, Aifl alumni designers Rosita Hurtado & Eduardo da las Casas, and Orlando based designer Paul Raymond. Tickets for opening night are $50 per person in advance and $60 at the door. FFW's Luncheon Runway Event will take place Saturday, October 30 at 1:00pm showcasing ready-to-wear collections from LF Las Olas and will feature a "Floribbean" style lunch. Tickets for the Luncheon Fashion Show are $75 per person and $100 at the door. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale's EDMC Scholarship Foundation.
