August 05, 2012 (Press-News.org) The UK's largest family photography company is searching the country to find a winning 'little face' with lots of character and personality to represent its brand.
Venture Photography's annual 'Little Face of Venture' competition is bigger and better than ever before. In association with leading retailer Toys "R" Us and the famed MOT Models, the contest will see the winner awarded a one-year professional modelling contract with this prestigious London agency.
By taking part in the competition entrants will also be supporting WellChild, the national charity for sick children and Venture Photography's charity partner for 2012. Every child who takes part will generate a GBP1 donation to the charity from Venture.
Richard Mayfield, Venture Photography's Creative Director, said: "This year's competition will not only see the winning child named as the Little Face of Venture, but will also offer a rare chance to land a modelling contract with one of the UK's leading agencies.
"We are an innovative and creative photography company and it's important that the images we create are attention-grabbing and full of character and expression. As most of our clients are families with young children, it is fitting to find a 0-12 year old who best represents what we stand for as a brand."
Colin Dyer, WellChild's chief executive, is urging families to participate in the competition. He said:
"Every child who enters the competition is helping to provide dedicated support to seriously ill children and their families across the UK so the more families who enter their young ones in this year's competition the better!
"So if your child has bundles of personality and a cheeky smile, get in touch with your nearest Venture studio or alternatively go to http://www.venturephotography.co.uk to book your photoshoot and to be in with a chance of winning."
The Little Face of Venture competition launches on Monday 20 August and will see each of Venture's 35 studios across the UK post photographs of participating children to an online gallery at http://www.littlefaceofventure.co.uk. Families and friends can then show their support by voting for their favourite image.
Each of the 35 Venture studios will then have a winner for their region as voted by the public and each winner will receive a GBP50 Toys "R" Us gift voucher. Those 35 regional winners will then be considered by the judging panel consisting of Venture Photography's creative director Richard Mayfield, MOT Models' head of junior division Kathryn Bristow and director Alison Griffin.
Regional winners will be announced on 5th November 2012 before an overall national winner is announced on 26th November 2012. As well as the prize of the modelling contract, the winner will receive a GBP500 Toys "R" Us gift voucher. The winner's image will also feature in Venture studios across the country.
