Innovation Award for Bruichladdich's Octomore Comus Whisky

ISLAY, SCOTLAND, August 13, 2012 (Press-News.org) Bruichladdich whisky distillery are proud to announce that Octomore Comus, Jim McEwan's latest beguiling release in the Octomore series, has been given an Award of Excellence, 2012 by Starpack.

The Starpack Industry Awards scheme is now in its 53rd year and is the UK's premier annual awards scheme recognising innovation in packaging design and technology.

Octomore Comus, a marriage of the peatiest whisky in the world with the subtle sweetness of French oak from Chateau d'Yquem, was released earlier this year and is a limited edition bottling.

Bruichladdich is an innovative artisan distillery producing Islay single malt whisky. Privately-owned, it distils 700,000 litres annually from mainly un-peated barley from 28 Scottish farms, half organically grown, half from Islay itself.
